MEET MARC
I was born in Yonkers, NY and grew up in Baltimore, MD. That means among other things that the cities of my early years were both the subjects of HBO shows; The Wire and Show Me A Hero. From my earliest years I have always been fascinated by cities. I always wondered: Why do you put an airport there? Where does the water in the sink come from? Why is New York’s subway better than Baltimore? And many other questions. Long story short, one day I decided that I wanted to go to graduate school for Urban Planning (OK, it was City and Regional Planning) and the rest is history.

As an urban planner, I want to help cities to continuously improve and become places that people can work, live, play and enjoy. Cities are more than just a sum of their physical parts; cities are living, dynamic places. I am especially passionate about making sure that the most vulnerable members of society, domestically and internationally, have an opportunity to participate in planning their urban future.
